SITE CONTROL / GPS SURVEYS

We are commonly asked to set out for a development where there is no site control, or asked to provide control so that the contractors staff can set out on a day to day basis. We usually recommend carrying out a boundary survey to establish control in the design grid. If there’s a shortage of space for what is on the design drawings (a common occurrence!) it’s important to find out before construction starts so that decisions can be taken to rectify the situation.
For projects where it is required to work to Irish Grid we use GPS to put in control.
